Rihanna makes grand announcement in Thebe Magugu knitted dress

Rihanna announced that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin will be available in Africa, and the internet went ablaze.

What was quite momentous was also that she wore a Thebe Magugu Merino wool fringe knitted dress with a detachable bralette from his Autumn/Winter 21 Alchemy Collection.

In an Instagram post, the local designer wrote, "Welcome to Africa Riri," adding that the collection was all about exploring the changing face of African Spirituality.

"The collection’s silhouettes merge local traditional wardrobe solves like draping and wrapping with complex and sharp tailoring. The collection celebrates craft from revered textile and printmakers all over the world," Thebe said, explaining the inspiration behind the collection in 2021.

Local fashion stylist Boogy Maboi tweeted that surely the value of her Thebe  Magugu pieces had gone up.

"I've brought that very same Thebe Magugu dress to two diff [different] shoots and it never made it, Riri a girl with THE vision," she tweeted.
