  • Cosmetic surgery has become popular over the years, especial when it's non-invasive.
  • I asked around on Twitter and in various friend groups about women who have had Botox or any other minor cosmetic enhancements and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
  • These women love being able to get a little cosmetic help and are super happy with the result.

'I feel more confident'

Jess Sher, 32, has had Botox three times and does it regularly every four months.

"I disliked the lines on the forehead and particularly between my eyebrows," she says.

She now has a family member who does it for her at cost and has also injected her TMJ to help ease jaw tension. Jess says: "I feel more confident, more attractive and less scared of accidentally opening the front facing camera."

Jamie Lee Jacobs, 31, got Botox because of frown lines on her forehead and between her eyes, and she's also had lip fillers.

"It makes a subtle difference to others, but I can notice it. The lip fillers I got because they needed a model recently, and I've always wanted to try it, and even though most people can't really tell, I can notice a big difference and it's made me happier/confident and makes me want to wear lippie all the time."

'It helped my migraines'

Sarah Midgley, 39, has Bruxism, which means she unconsciously grinds her teeth in her sleep. But the Botox has helped immensely to combat that.

"I also get Botox done for migraines," says Sarah who has it injected into her forehead, bridge of her nose, temples, neck and back of the head.

"The bonus is it slows down ageing as well as changed my life with regards to the Hemiplegic Migraine attacks."

Ever heard of Plasma Fibroblast Therapy?

Well, that's what Cashé Kidd, 35, decided to do instead of botox or a full-on facelift. Small areas of the skin are burnt with a pen device and Cashé says, "It can be quite painful and you legit smell your skin burning. BUT the results are incredible!"

"It is considered a soft facelift and is a hell of a lot cheaper too," she says. "I got it done around my laugh lines and forehead as well as my eyelids."

'I was just curious'

Carrie Smith, 31, says: "I got Botox just out of morbid curiosity after someone at work admitted to getting it done regularly as a preventative measure for the lines on their forehead. Loved the results, go and get it topped up every six months."

Lila Davis, 25, says: "My lips are super thin so I got lip fillers. I wish it lasted longer, I think mine lasted about eight months. I was very happy with how it made me look overall, but it's also very painful to get done."

Twenty-eight-year-old Neelam Jacobs has had Botox, fillers and dermapens and peels.

Her reasons for wanting these procedures? "Mine ranged from lip fillers for correction, non-surgical rhinoplasty and resurfacing for severe acne scarring and then facial harmonisation."

Neelam says she noticed that her migraines and headaches were much less painful after Botox, so she had Botox in her jaw and it resolved itself completely.

"I get the lip filler done every 18 months because it dissolves quite fast. And I won't stop the Botox. Not at all."

'It makes my skin look radiant and youthful'

"I've had Botox for the past six years just on my forehead area to remove the creases," says Kelli Clifton, 34.

"The first time I went was because I was writing an article on it and had to experience the treatment first-hand. I'm not a fan of needles so you can imagine how fearful I was but, after the initial jab, I realised that it was pain-free. The only after-effect I had was a slight headache, but I took a pain killer to help with it. I now go once every three months and I love it because it makes my skin look more radiant and youthful," she says.

"It helps my dry skin immensely and keeps my skin tight!" says Allison Peterson, 30, who decided to get Botox out of sheer curiosity.

"And after doing it the first time, I saw how beneficial it was for my skin and I've been doing it ever since."

"My performance reviews at work in relation to the feedback from my peers improved the moment I started getting Botox. They couldn't see my disapproving frown anymore," Liz Botha, 36, says jokingly.

She gets regular Botox on her forehead, between her brows and next to her eyes. While it was really just to slow down the ageing process, she has noticed other benefits to it. "I'll continue getting it until I can't anymore," says Liz

All these women reported different levels of pain with the various procedures, but they have all loved their results and say that it's well worth it.
