The Galileo Open Air Cinema is celebrating its 10th year as Cape Town's premier open-air cinema and as a gift to all families this festive season, they have a host of activities on offer to ensure that the little ones are entertained all day.

The Galileo has gone all out this summer with new venues across the city, including Battery Park at the V&A Waterfront,  Central Park in Century City, Meerendal Wine Estate, a host of Winelands weekend venues and of course, Kirstenbosch Gardens.

Classic child-friendly films on show

The Galileo will be showing an array of child-friendly movies that will be screened across the season from Disney's 'Aladdin' and 'Soul' to 'Luca' and 'Raya and the Last Dragon'.

To top it off, there's a Christmas Eve screening of 'The Grinch', a Christmas special screening of Home Alone and Boxing day's 'Elf'.

Games, eats and family-fun a-plenty

While the parents relax on the lawns or enjoy the food and drink from the on-site mini-market, the little ones can play popular games such as giant Jenga, swing ball or giant checkers - perfect for a little inter-family competition.

This 'summer staple' activity offers the perfect setting and a great way to spend an evening with the family whilst being outdoors.
