Three big-name vehicles that switched badges in SA… and one that soon will

For the typical major automaker, at least one nameplate in the line-up tends to hold a great deal of value. It's often the vehicle that first pops into your head when you think of the brand. 

For instance, Toyota has the Hilux, Porsche the 911, Ford the Mustang and Volkswagen the Golf (though the Polo arguably boasts even greater brand cachet here in South Africa). Each is a badge steeped in automotive history and one its respective owner would surely think twice about ever putting out to pasture.
