Wave Set Cephus is the name power couple Cardi B and her husband Offset have given their son.

The couple welcomed their second child seven months ago but only recently announced his name and it was the Migos rapper who suggested the unusual name.

Cardi B loved the first name 'Wave' as soon as her husband Offset suggested it, but they struggled to come up with a second name.

According to TMZ, the couple thought of giving their daughter the second name 'Marley' in homage to her mom whose middle name is Marley, but Cardi did not like how Wave Marley Cephus flowed.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, suggested his nickname Set, which his friends used to call him, and Cardi B loved it.

Cardi B and Offset have been married since 2017, and the pair welcomed their first child Kulture in 2018.

When explaining why Wave Set Cephus's name was only revealed seven months later, Cardi B explained that they had gone through a lot when she made her firstborn's name known to the public, which is why they kept Wave under wraps for so long.

"We went through a lot of sad things when it came to Kulture - terrible stuff that not even the older kids have been through. So many people will post mean, disgusting things just to get a reaction from us. We want to protect our feelings because we get very angry and upset," she said.

Hinting at how much she loved her son's name, the American rapper and Songwriter Cardi B once shared on her Instagram that she was very close to having her son's name tattooed on her face.
