At 62 years old, with a head full of silver hair, Kathi Odom is living her dream as a model.
Kathi had a keen interest in the modelling industry from her teen years, taking part in fashion shows. From there, her passion continued to grow.
About being a "mature model", she says in an interview with SWNS: "It's a challenge every day. I'm meeting new people; I'm being asked to do things that I've never had to do before. In the olden day, ageing was the enemy."
Kathi says she has now embraced her age in an industry that has become more inclusive.
"With the baby boom, the buying market started appreciating older, classic women, showing them you can be hip and cool and be a little older," she says.
Kathi started going grey in her twenties, and while it was something she covered up then, she has now embraced her silver locks as part of her look.
"Age is not a curse; age is a gift," she says, adding that she plans on being a model for a long time.
"I'll be showing up on set in a walker. They're not going to be able to get rid of me any time soon."
