Every year fashion's creatives add a new twist to ankle boots. Whether it's revamped with a thicker heel, a pointier shape, side zips or even made skintight, it's ever-evolving.
Dior did it first with their patent see-through thigh-high stompers made so tight they may as well have been stockings.

But this sock and ankle boots hybrid hit the big time when Vetements recently popularised it with their literal interpretation by using actual socks and a BIC lighter-like heel.
And there's a multitude of sock boot variations you can add to your shoe arsenal: from suede, to velvet, to party-ready glitter boots.
