  • It was reported earlier this year that the singer is suffering from the condition.
  • The condition has created complications for her to perform on stage.

British singer Adele has been experiencing pain and difficulty performing during her Las Vegas residency due to a health condition.

Most recently, Adele told fans that she collapsed backstage during her residency after a sciatica flare-up, according to Vanity Fair. "They picked my whole body up off the floor," she said. The singer had to take a break during the show, she added.

She revealed at the beginning of the year that she is suffering from the condition, which causes pain to run along the sciatic nerve that runs down from the lower back to the legs.

She told fans at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: "I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica," according to People.

In another performance, she also shared: "I have got really bad sciatica in my left leg, and my L5 disc is not fucking there anymore. It's worn away," according to The Evening Star.

The L5 vertebrae can be found at the lower part of the spine.

The singer said in a 2021 interview with The Face that she has had pain in her back for half her life.

She said:

"It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture. But where I got my tummy strong, down at the bottom, which I never had before, my back don't play up as much. It means I can do more. I can run around with my kid a little bit more."
