She also described the hard work that went into making the film; she directed, wrote and produced. The announcement of the film went out on the last day of her Renaissance tour, which ran from 10 May to 1 October.
"It was one of the hardest things I've ever done because of the short turnaround time. I practically slept in the edit, colour, and mix sessions," she wrote. "The race against time continued in order to get this film out so quickly. But it was so worth all the grind."
Beyoncé wrote about the positive reactions the film was getting from fans and critics alike.
She wrote:
Fans of Beyoncé dressed up in shiny and extravagant outfits for the Renaissance tour and film as part of the aesthetic. The tour also spawned the Mute Challenge, which is where audiences go completely silent after the singer utters the line, "Look around everybody on mute" during her song Energy.
"I love seeing everyone all dressed up in their most opulent lewks [looks] in the theatres. The mute challenges still happening, even in the theatre! Y'all are cracking me up. Please keep that energy going," Beyoncé wrote, referring to the fan trends.

"I also love seeing the positive takeaways from people who were not my fans or didn't yet know my story. The people who had no interest in seeing my shows who have now gained a deeper understanding and respect for all it takes to be a RENAISSANCE woman."
Beyoncé also paid tribute to her Uncle Johnny, who died of AIDS-related complications when she was 17.
"I'm very proud that we launched the film on World AIDS Day in memory of my Uncle Johnny. I pray I continue to make something that lifts all of y'all up the way you continue to lift me up," she wrote.
Beyoncé has received some backlash from fans for screening her film in Israel due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
After the militant group Hamas attacked Israel, killing around 1200 people and taking hostages, Israel began an airstrike campaign on the Gaza Strip. Supplies of food, energy, fuel and medicine to Gaza have been suspended.
As of 5 December, more than 15 900 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since 7 October, according to Reuters.
