Fans got a rare glimpse of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 6-year-old daughter Rumi, and she is the spitting image of her older sister, Blue Ivy.

The glimpse of Rumi was shared by another musical superstar, Madonna, on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

The Vogue singer took her children to Beyoncé's New Jersey stop on her Renaissance World Tour on Sunday and met the singer and her daughter backstage.

The picture shows Madonna and three of her daughters – Mercy, 17, and 10-year-old twins Stella and Estere – posing with Queen Bey and Rumi.

While 11-year-old Blue Ivy has taken a significant role in Beyoncé's tour as a dancer, Rumi and her twin brother Sir often stay out of the spotlight.

This sighting comes almost a year after fans were last given a glimpse of the Carter family when Beyoncé shared a photo of the family of five's Halloween celebrations where they dressed up as members of Disney's The Proud Family.

The Formation singer captioned the November post, "Family every single day and night."

Madonna's outing comes after a bacterial infection that required hospitalisation last month.

"My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children," the 64-year-old said in a social media statement. "My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour."

The illness required Madonna to postpone her nearly sold-out 84-date Celebration tour that was due to start on 15 July.
