- Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox have broken their silence on Matthew Perry's death.
- LeBlanc wrote it was an "honour" to work with Perry, while Cox shared a fond memory.
- Perry died on 28 October after being found unresponsive in his jacuzzi.
The actors Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc, who respectively played Monica and Joey in the hit sitcom Friends, have broken their individual silences on the death of Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing.
This is the first time Perry's main co-stars have individually paid tribute to the actor; the main cast previously released a joint statement in late October responding to his death.
Of the main cast, LeBlanc was the first to pay tribute.
"It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among my favourite times of my life," wrote LeBlanc on Instagram.
"It was an honour to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you, and I'll never forget you. Never," he continued."Spread your wings and fly brother; you're finally free. Much love," LeBlanc continued.
"And I guess you're keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."
"I am so grateful for every moment I had with you, Matty, and I miss you every day," Cox wrote on Instagram.
Cox shared a fond memory she has with Perry and posted a clip from Friends where Monica and Chandler are seen in bed together. The clip contains an outtake from the show where Monica says an unused line.
"When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here's one of my favourites," she wrote.

"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story," she continued.
"In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."
In an initial joint statement, the cast of Friends wrote, "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family."
"There is so much to say, but right now, we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss," the statement continued.
It added:
Perry was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi on 28 October.
He struggled with substance addiction throughout his life. The official cause of Perry's death has yet to be revealed, as additional investigation is required.
