Mampintsha's mother dies three weeks after the SA musician's death

Just three weeks after her son's death, award-winning gqom musician and reality TV star Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo's mother, Zamanguni Gumede, has died.

Her daughter, Pinki, confirmed to News24 that Gumede died on Sunday but could not elaborate further.

Per a Daily Sun report, Gumede died following a short illness at Wentworth Hospital. She was 64.

Gumede's health took a knock following Maphumulo's death. According to the publication's report, she became weak and could not walk when he died.

Maphumulo died on 24 December after suffering a minor stroke a week earlier. He was 40.
