  • Nqobile Danseur, known for her captivating moves, posted a video of herself participating in the popular Tshwala Bami dance challenge.
  • Her look in the video sparked comparisons to the iconic rapper Eve.
  • Danseur even caught the attention of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Missy Elliot.

In a delightful turn of events, American X (formerly known as Twitter) users have found amusement in comparing London-based South African dance sensation Nqobile Danseur to the iconic rapper Eve.

The comparison sparked after Danseur, known for her captivating moves, posted a video of herself participating in the popular Tshwala Bami dance challenge, currently sweeping through TikTok feeds worldwide.

The light-hearted jest began when one observant X user shared Danseur's video, humorously questioning if Eve, who's been relatively quiet on the music scene in recent years, had made a surprise return to the studio. Little did they know this would set off a chain reaction of amusement and agreement from fans across the globe.

Danseur herself embraced the comparison with open arms, responding affirmatively with a simple yet enthusiastic "that's twin".

Adding to the validation was none other than Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Missy Elliot, who chimed in with a reference to the lyrics from the opening credits of Eve's self-titled sitcom that aired on SABC1 in the early 2000s, stating, "E-V-E How you do dat."

Danseur (real name Nqobile Ntshangase) rose to prominence as a member of the dynamic dance trio CEO Dancers, who gained widespread recognition after captivating audiences on Britain's Got Talent in 2013. Since then, she has taken the dance world by storm, touring with renowned artists like Drake and prominently featuring as the lead dancer in Davido's chart-topping hit, If.

Interestingly, both Danseur and Eve find themselves residing in London, where Danseur has been based for years. While engaging fellow X users about the resemblance, Danseur shared her desire to meet Eve and reminded her followers that they live in the same city.

This amusing exchange stemmed from Danseur's participation in the viral Tshwala Bami challenge, originating on TikTok.

The challenge took flight after a clever individual set the infectious Tshwala Bami song to a video from the @ama_quality_boys TikTok account, showcasing three young men flawlessly executing synchronised moves with their necks, heads, and shoulders.

The original video has since garnered a whopping 4.6 million views, inspiring countless renditions both locally and abroad.

The challenge has even captured the attention of international figures such as Jason Derulo, Kai Cenat, and internet sensation Shiggy, who have all attempted to replicate the infectious dance moves.
