Veteran award-winning actor Connie Chiume will receive another lifetime achievement award next month.

The former defunct Rhythm City actor received her first lifetime achievement award at the South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas). The awards were held virtually and broadcast on Saturday on S3 (DStv 193).

"Two lifetime awards in the space of two months? God, thank you," she wrote in a caption to a photo on social media. "Flying to the USA this October. I cannot wait."

Chiume also extended her gratitude to the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards for their recognition and honour.

The sixth instalment of the awards take place on 29 October. This year's awards honour African and American community leaders, international political figures, dignitaries, celebrities and stars who are pioneers in motion pictures, arts, music and comedy.
