  • From cherished childhood memories to tying the knot, TV personality Dineo Moeketsi shares life's most precious moments.
  • "After everything we've been through as a country this year, we deserve to celebrate ourselves," she says about partnering with Nestlé on a campaign which spreads feel-good stories through celebrating life's special moments.
  • Dineo maintains a positive outlook on life by "knowing" herself, and focusing on the future.

Speaking to Channel24 TV personality, Dineo Langa chatted about life's most memorable moments.

Dineo says that she knew she wanted to be in the entertainment industry from a very young age. "At 12 years old is when I began to zero in on my singing ability," she tells Channel24

Although most might know her for her impressive acting abilities, and as a formidable TV host, Dineo is a triple threat in the industry, having trained at the National School of the Arts and the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York.

But as we've learned, life sometimes has other plans for our future and gives us a gentle nudge in the right direction.

Dineo has special memories, visiting her mother veteran radio personality Kgomotso "KG" Moeketsi at the SABC studios as a child and recalls one moment in particular, which she will treasure forever.

"The most special has to be when my mother, who was the first black woman to have a breakfast show at the time, interviewed Mandela and took me to work with her that day so I can meet him," she says.

Being in the spotlight often comes with setbacks, but she says that it's by "knowing" herself, that she maintains a positive outlook. "I know how much further I still have to go. I'm one of the most motivated people around, and I thrive on ambition," she says.

As she looks back at the special moment in her life, Dineo has partnered with Nestlé on the Aero Moments To Melt Into campaign, which celebrates the positive moments in life and spreads feel-good stories across the country.

"I decided to be part of the campaign because, after everything we've been through as a country this year, we deserve to celebrate ourselves and feel good about surviving everything thus far," she says.

Dineo's recipe for turning an ordinary moment into an extraordinary one is "sincerity and effort".

She happily shares her happiest "melt into moment" which was her wedding day; she says: "I had all kinds of friends who gathered around me who made sure that I felt the love, who made sure that I knew they were there for me."

Dineo and her husband Solo, shared their special day with viewers in a 3-part series called Kwakuhle Kwethu, which she calls a "labour of love".

About sharing her wedding with the country, she says: "Made by us, for us and untainted."
