Celebrity makeup artist and Bachelor SA alum, Gina Myers, paid tribute to her best friend Reeva Steenkamp on what would have been her 37th birthday.
The model and reality TV star was shot dead by her boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius on 14 February 2013. The former professional sprinter was convicted of the murder and is currently serving a 13-year sentence.
"Happy birthday my Alfi," Gina wrote on Instagram, sharing a close-up black and white photo of the pair.
In previous interviews, Gina has described Reeva as being "like a sister" to her. Reeva stayed with the Myers family for six months before she was murdered.
Speaking to Huisgenoot, Gina had said that she helped Reeva get ready for her first date with Oscar, three months before she was killed.
They had been friends for six years prior to Reeva's death.
"I just miss you so so so much. That's all. I bet you partying it up without a mask and no social distancing. And past 10pm. I adore you my Alfi," she continued the heartwarming post.
