South African entertainer Skolopad is a married woman and said "I do" to Mr Right on 26 June.

Surrounded by only close family and friends, Skolopad, whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe, and her husband exchanged their vows during a beautiful outside ceremony last week.

The singer and dancer, known for her risque outfit choices, walked down the aisle in a gorgeous floor-length red gown. The groom, who Skolopad says was crying as she walked toward him, matched his bride, wearing a deep red suit.

Speaking to Channel24, Skolopad says that they started dating last year, although she was still in a relationship with someone else at the time. "If you want to win the lottery, you need to pick many numbers. And he was the chosen one," she laughs.

She explains that they did not have a long engagement, as she had previously been engaged four times. "You love me now, you marry me now," she says.

About the red gown, Skolopad says that the colour symbolised the couple's love for each other.

Keeping her personal life out of the limelight, Skolopad says that their relationship "is not for other people"; instead, it's about the love they share.

Excited to reenter the music industry, Skolopad says her husband is also into music and supports her career. "Watch this space," she tells Channel24
