Entertainer Skolopad, whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe, has opened up about her battle with hair loss.

Qwabe developed hair loss after undergoing acne treatment and now wants to teach others about self-love in any body.

"Self-love start with you then the rest will follow, [sic]" Qwabe captioned a video on Instagram, which showed her hair loss.

"If I don't accept it, I'll [be] heart broken," she went on to say, adding that the journey has not been easy. Especially in a society where bullying has become the norm.

The entertainer hosted a workshop in Bethlehem last week where she taught people about self-love and acceptance.

Speaking to Daily Sun, she said: "The idea of me going on this journey to help people take their power back and learn to love themselves happened recently."

She added that the notion dawned on her after a friend told a guy who was interested in her that he would be "shocked and run away" after seeing what was under her wig.

After the incident, she realised that hiding and feeling embarrassed about her condition gave bullies power.

"We must know our worth," she said.
