- Don Lewis' daughters are hoping to finally get justice for their father who mysteriously disappeared in 1997.
- In Netflix's Tiger King, Carole Baskin, who was married to Don at the time, was accused by many of the show's characters of having something to do with his disappearance.
- Now, as Carole made her Dancing with the Stars debut, Don's daughters appeared in a video during a commercial break of the show.
Netflix's Tiger King made Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin household names, but it also sparked new interest in the disappearance of Don Lewis – Carole Baskin's first husband.
You'll remember the documentary probing the death of Don, with many of the characters saying they think Carole had something to do with her husband's mysterious disappearance. Joe Exotic even recorded an entire song suggesting she offed him before feeding him to her tigers.
It was all speculation, of course – Carole called it "the most ludicrous of all the lies" in the show – but then police reopened the case after they started getting tip-offs about the 1997 disappearance, while Sheriff Chad Chronister confirmed Don's will was a forgery.
Now, as Carole Baskin made her Dancing with the Stars debut to none other than Eye of the Tiger on Monday night, Don's three daughters, who very clearly suspected foul play in his disappearance, appeared in video during a commercial break of the show, reports E! News.
Gale, Linda and Donna appeared together alongside Don's former assistant Anne to ask those with new leads to come forward before their lawyer, John M. Phillips, said: "Don Lewis mysteriously disappeared in 1997. His family deserves answers; they deserve justice. Do you know who did this or if Carole Baskin was involved?"
The family is offering a $100 000 (R1.7 million) reward in the hope they'll finally get justice for Don after 23 years.
