On Friday morning AKA's parents, Nadia Nakai who was the rapper's girlfriend at the time and artists gathered at Sook in Mall of Africa for the exclusive launch of the rapper's art and merchandise three-day exhibition.

The collaboration is between the Kiernan Forbes Foundation – run by his friends and family – and Bravado the world's leading music merchandise company, who have brought to the fore a collective of artists contributing to the exhibition with their unique pieces they designed in memory of the late rapper.

Sunday will mark the first year Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes' family celebrate his birthday without him and the exhibition – planned for the weekend – is in honour of AKA's 36th birthday in a way that represents him authentically.
