A prank being recorded for YouTube could be the cause of the shooting at Dulles Town Center in the US last weekend. 

The victim's father says his son is a YouTube influencer known for recording comical escapades at malls, Fox 5 reported

Tanner Cook, 21, is in hospital after he was shot in the abdomen in the mall, allegedly by Alan Colie, who got offended by the prank and shot him. The prank involved using Google Translate.

Colie appreared in court on Monday where bail was denied. He faces several charges, including aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm within a building.
