Mr Beast, is being sued for $100 million, according to Variety. The lawsuit was filed on Monday, by the company who is responsible for the YouTube star's virtual burger restaurant chain.

Mr Beast has the second most subscribers on YouTube, after T-Series, which is owned by an Indian record label. He has more than 174 million subscribers on the platform. His content usually involves him giving money to his YouTube co-stars or other contestants in games.

Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC) is suing Mr Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, for failing to honour his contractual obligations and interfering with business, Forbes reports. VDC operates his virtual restaurant, MrBeast Burger.

The alleged damages in the lawsuit exceed $100 million.

VDC runs virtual kitchens that deliver products to customers. MrBeast Burger is a global chain restaurant, that only has one physical location.

The suit was made after Mr Beast tried to sue VDC and its parent company, Celebrity Virtual Dining, in July. He wanted to terminate his deal with the company, because he was unhappy with the quality of the food they were making and alleged that this damaged his reputation.

In response, VDC claimed that Mr Beast breached his agreement with them and tried "to serve his own monetary interests". They also complained that Mr Beast did not fulfill his contractual promotional obligations and made "untruthful or misleading" statements, among other things, per Variety.

VDC claims that Mr Beast severely damaged their reputation through his statements, making them lose out on business.

According to NBC, Mr Beast made damaging comments over social media, calling VDC "terrible" for his brand.
