  • A trailer for Beyoncé's Renaissance tour concert film has recently been released.
  • The film's announcement comes shortly after the tour's conclusion on 1 October.
  • The film is set to hit theatres on 1 December 2023.

Beyoncé has set the Beyhive abuzz after dropping a trailer for her Renaissance tour concert film.

The film's announcement comes hot on the heels of the tour's conclusion on 1 October.

"When I am performing, I am nothing but free," says the superstar in the trailer for Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, set to hit theatres on 1 December 2023.

"The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged," the Halo hitmaker says later in the video.

The film will show highlights from the Renaissance tour, from the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the closing in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Renaissance tour has been wildly successful for Queen Bey, raking in $461.3 million, making it the highest-grossing tour by a woman, according to Billboard.

The trailer promises an intimate and grand experience. It shows backstage footage of Beyoncé spending time with her family, and it shows the scale of the tour's production and popularity.

A description of the film reads:

"It is about Beyoncé's intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft."

Beyoncé also teased the film on her Instagram, adding the caption: "Be careful what you ask for, cause I just might comply," which is a quote from her song All Up in Your Mind.

Ticket pre-sales have already opened in the US.

Beyoncé is no stranger to creating strong visuals for her music, as she has directed the films Life Is But a Dream, Lemonade, Homecoming and Black Is King.
