Over The Moon hitmaker Donald Moatshe, better known as just Donald, has dedicated his newly released musical offering to his father.
The award-winning musician released TIKI on his 37th birthday on Tuesday. The five-track EP, featuring Dr Moruti and Dee Cee, is named after his late father.
"Today is my birthday, but I want to dedicate it to you for giving me life and giving me an identity even (in) your death," he wrote on social media. "Here's the release of my new EP; I named it after you, Papa. The world will know your name and how great of a man you were."
Donald said that while his father died before he was born, he carried him and his spirit everywhere he went.
"Bo Rakgadi (my aunts) always told me that I'm a reflection of you in more ways than one; you have no idea how that makes me feel," he continued. "I feel like a man, now more than ever before. You've made such a strong impact on all of us, your kids, Rorisang, Katlego, Mongo, Staka and I. We really miss you. We love you."
"I love you, Papa and thank you. Here is your present; it's called TIKI."
