Vocalist, storyteller and guitarist Zolani Mahola captured the hearts and attention of many when she was the lead singer of the band Freshlyground.

When the members of the group parted ways in 2019 after 17 successful years, she spread her wings, looked inwardly, and invited many on her journey towards becoming Lo uculayo (the one who sings) - a name that followed her everywhere she went.

In 2019, she took up the name and, with it, a journey that would unfold for her as a storyteller who was bringing to life the stories that live in her soul.
