SA rapper Nasty C teamed up with US star T.I. on a new track titled, They Don't.
The powerful song addresses "racial injustices in [the] wake of police brutality," a caption on Nasty C's YouTube account explains.
The track was released along with a lyric video on Friday. While the lyrics flash across, what looks like, a plain black screen, closer inspection reveals the words "stop killing us" in the background.
References are made to George Floyd, Emmett Till, and Breonna Taylor, as the rappers openly address the senseless killing of black people.
The recent murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, has sparked protests around the globe as the Black Lives Matter movement continues to gain momentum.
All proceeds raised from the track will go toward Until Freedom and The Solidarity Fund.
