If you were looking forward to Lorde's return to the VMAs stage, you will have to wait just a bit longer.
The singer was expected to perform music from her third studio album, Solar Power, at the event.
According to a message shared on Twitter by the official VMAs account, the singer will no longer perform "due to a change in production elements".
"We love Lorde and cannot wait for her to perform on the VMA stage in the future!" the post continues.
