Up the Creek music festival is making its return from the 8 to 11 February 2024, having had its last iteration in 2020. The outdoor event, established in 1990, takes place on the banks of the Breede River, about 23 km outside Swellendam, Western Cape.
The festival features four stages set to host some of SA's favourite local acts. The festival promises a diverse line-up, with various genres for different audiences. Attendees can also watch live shows while sitting in inflatable lilos floating on the river.
Up the Creek started as a birthday party held in 1990 that turned into a three day celebration that featured music and rafting.
Tickets for the festival can be bought on Howler. Early Bird and Phase 1 tickets have already been sold-out, with Phase 2 tickets being priced at R1780.
Some of the artists festival audiences can expect include Jeremy Loops, Dirty Skirts, Springbok Nude Girls, BCUC, Valiant Swart and many others.
The festival is sponsored by Jose Cuervo; Jeremy Loops and BreakOut Events founder Damon Forbes also have a festival buy-in partnership.
