  • The US pop-rock band Train has announced the South African dates for their international tour.
  • Train's 'I Know, It's Been A Long Time Coming' tour kicks off in 2024.
  • The band will perform in Cape Town and Johannesburg.


The US pop-rock band Train has announced the South African dates for their international tour. This will be the band's first-ever live performance in SA.

The Grammy-winning band's 'I Know, It's Been A Long Time Coming' tour is set to kick off on 26 April 2024 in Manchester, UK. 


The dates for the SA performances are:

9 May 2024 at the Green Point Cricket Club, Green Point, Cape Town.

11 May 2024 at the Marks Park Sports Club, Emmarentia, Johannesburg.

Tickets will be available at 10:00 on 29 September, with more details on Break Out Events.


Train frontman Pat Monahan said in a statement:

"After 25 years of releasing Train's first album, we are finally going to South Africa, a place we've all dreamt of since we were little kids. What a beautiful and treasured gift music has been for us. We can't wait to be there and perform for what we know will be an incredible and beautiful group of people."
The group has sold millions of records worldwide and the Grammys they have won include Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals and Record Of The Year.
