Diplo has little to no patience to wait for a tour or scheduled performance to play some new music.

The American DJ took a different approach to releasing new tunes on Tuesday when he set up sound in a random park in Los Angeles.

In a video of his social experiment, which he shared on TikTok and Twitter, Diplo chronicles how the impromptu show played out.

“I popped up at a random park to play new music just for fun…” 

The record producer and his team set up using a generator and speakers in an empty park. He then shared his location on Instagram and waited for people to arrive.

Diplo’s first guests were a man and his dog, whom he played fetch with. Then, as the sun set, more people started arriving until the park was packed.

The video ends with Diplo packing up his pop-up “for the next one”.
