Shekhinah has released the visuals for her track Fixate which features Bey T.
The singer shared the Fixate Short Film with fans on Sunday. The project was directed by Monde Gumede and was written, narrated and performed by Shekhinah.
Eye-catching shots show the singer in a makeshift garden, a dimly lit stairwell and showing off her skills as an archer. Woven in between are poetic verses that tell the story of pain and growth.
"The short film explores themes such as resilience, nostalgia and rebirth," a press statement explains.
Fixate is taken from Shekinah's highly anticipated second album, Trouble in Paradise.
"My new project Trouble in Paradise is a continuation of my first album Rose Gold which spoke to blissful ignorance. The idea is that all that was Rose Gold is now ablaze. Paradise is no longer the place it used to be and trouble has come. Red for me signifies the burning of Paradise," says Shekhinah.
