Multi-award-winning gqom artist Bongekile 'Babes Wodumo' and her husband Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo's reality show, Uthando Lodumo, returns for a second season next month.

Season 2 of Uthando Lodumo premieres on Showmax on 1 September. New episodes will be available every Thursday after that.

"The family of three returns to Showmax for another dramatic season that zooms into their lives. The new season will show what life has been like for the couple, drawing the curtain back to reveal the story behind the most contentious headlines of the past year while also showing how the couple's careers are evolving," reads a press statement.

In the trailer the couple show the challenges that come with building a life with your partner. Mampintsha strives to mend fences between his wife and his mother, it becomes clear that Babes is not about to step back.

The first season of the couple's reality show gave viewers a front-row seat into the couple's lobola negotiations, their star-studded wedding celebration, and the anticipation of the birth of their first child affectionately known as "Sponge".
