- Fanele Ntuli and Nkanyiso Mchunu have joined the cast of Uzalo.
- The pair joined the show following the double exits of Nompilo Maphumulo and Menzi Biyela last month.
- Ntuli makes her debut on 2 January, while Mchunu makes his debut on 10 January.
Fanele Ntuli and Nkanyiso Mchunu have joined the cast of the SABC 1 weeknight drama Uzalo.
Ntuli takes over the character of Nomaswazi Magwaza on 2 January. Mchunu makes his debut as Siphamandla 'Wizard' Nkosi on 10 January.
The pair joins the drama after SABC 1 announced the exits of Nompilo Maphumulo and Menzi Biyela last month.

According to a press statement, Nomaswazi grew up in the village and was taught her place as a woman – be on your best behaviour until a man comes along and makes an honest woman out of you.
Speaking about her character, Ntuli says being allowed to dive into such a colourful and intense story has been challenging but fulfilling.
"I look forward to my new journey on Uzalo and the SABC family," she said in the statement. "I believe the audience will love the magic we made."
Mchunu's new character grew up in South Africa with a fascination for computers and coding at a young age. He comes from a respectable family of academics, but he has always been the family's black sheep due to his rebellion and always getting himself into sticky situations but running at first sight as a sign of trouble. His curiosity led him to be an expert hacker.
"Joining Uzalo has been a dream come true for me," Mchunu said. "Uzalo is the biggest platform of them all and the highest storytelling platform in the country."
