Generations: The Legacy actor and video editor Muzi Mthabela is joining SABC's Ukhozi FM.

The station recently announced the appointment of the seasoned actor, who also starred in Isibaya and Imbewu: The Seed, when they shared their lineup for the 2024-2025 broadcasting season.

Mthabela is set to host the station's podcast, called Ukhozi FM TV show with Neliswa Cele.

This is not entirely new territory for the actor. For the past three years, he has been lending his voice on different platforms, including The Secret Place, where he shared biblical scriptures on his social media account. He was also a guest on the Unchristian Network, where he spoke about representing Christ in the entertainment industry.

In addition, he appeared as a guest on several podcasts. He is an actor who has been vocal about his Christian faith and family values.

According to the press statement, other additions include 2024 Winnie Mahlangu Female Presenter Search winner Nozipho Zulu.

Sbongi Ngcobo, Ukhozi FM's business manager, expressed her enthusiasm about the forthcoming radio season.

''We are delighted to introduce our listeners to this dynamic talent and fresh perspectives. Our innovative campaigns, nation-building discourse, and a stellar lineup of presenters ensure that we remain at the forefront of the industry, resonating with our vast audience and meeting the needs of our clients. We are confident that Ukhozi FM will continue to dominate in terms of audiences and continue to build on revenue generation,'' she said

The Generations: The Legacy actor previously told  Drum he did not grow up wanting to be an actor.

"I am a video editor by profession, and I got my first acting gig while I was an editor on Zone 14. They needed someone to be Relebogile Mabotja's boyfriend. All I had to do was walk down the street with her. And we had such great chemistry that they continued with that storyline even in the next season. That opportunity came at a time when I was looking for a change in my life. I then took the opportunity with both hands and ran with it."

Mthabela told the publication he wanted to do something different in the future. He said his friend expressed his wish to see him play a weak character, and he wanted to challenge himself on it.

"My broad shoulders are not helping the situation in terms of the roles I get. I need to push myself to a place where even I didn't think I could go."

The station's Vuka Africa Breakfast Show (6-9 am), Jabul'ujule slot (9 am-12 noon), and Woza Nabangani Bakho (3-6) hosts remain unchanged, with The WNB team welcoming Nco Dube as its social commentator.
