  • Meghan Markle's Suits co-star, Patrick J. Adams, deleted photos of her from his Instagram.
  • Adams uploaded behind-the-scenes images of Markle on the Suits set.
  • He deleted the images and apologised, saying the "trip down Suits memory lane" distracted him from the actors' strike.

Patrick J. Adams, who played one of the lead roles in the legal drama Suits, recently deleted images of Meghan Markle, who played Rachel on the show, from his Instagram.

Adams apologised for uploading the photos amid the actors' strike, saying it was "embarrassing" and he was "incredibly sorry".

To respect the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Adams deleted the four Insta posts, saying that the "trip down Suits memory lane" distracted him from the actors' strike.

The images he deleted showed Markle relaxing on a couch between filming, an image of her under an umbrella, and there was also a black and white portrait of the Duchess of Sussex in close-up.

Adams stated that his followers reminded him that uploading the images wasn't allowed with the strike still ongoing.

Under SAG-AFTRA strike rules, members "cannot promote struck work or struck companies on social media", according to their website.

Rules also apply to influencers who "should refrain from posting on social media about any struck work regardless of whether they are posting organically or in a paid capacity".

Suits has had renewed interest since it was made available on Netflix and has enjoyed strong streaming numbers in 2023.

In July, the series broke its own record for most watched minutes on an acquired show, with 3.1 billion minutes viewed in one week, according to Nielsen.

Adams wrote on his story Tuesday:

"The last couple of days, I foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract me from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in @sagaftra continues to wage in its effort to win our membership realistic 21st-century compensation and protections."

"It was an embarrassing oversight for which I'm incredibly sorry," he added.

He continued that he was grateful to his fans who "gently and swiftly course-corrected" him.

"I look forward to continuing the fight in the days and weeks ahead."
