  • Penn Badgley returns as the titular character Joe in third season of the Netflix stalker drama, You.
  • In the upcoming season Joe wrestles with becoming a dad and settling down with wife Love (Victoria Pedretti).
  • The season premieres on the streaming service, Friday 15 October.

"Who are you going to be, Henry?" asks Joe Goldberg about his son in the teaser trailer for You season three.

Penn Badgley returns as the titular character in the stalker saga based on the best-selling novel by Caroline Kepnes.

On Monday, Netflix released a teaser for the upcoming season, which will premiere on 15 October. In the clip, Joe is wrestling with the idea of becoming a father with his wife, Love (Victoria Pedretti), who viewers met in season two.

"A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of mini-me was purely exciting and not without challenges. Let's just say, I hope you'll do as I say, not as I do, but for you, I could change. I'll be a man you look up to, a man you will be proud to call dad," says Joe in a voiceover.

In season three, Joe and Love are now married and raising their baby in Madre Linda in Northern California. There they are surrounded by tech entrepreneurs, mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers.

"Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love's lethal impulsiveness. And then there's his heart. Could the woman he's been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who's wise to your tricks? Well, that'll prove a much more complicated escape," reads the official logline as per TVLine.

New cast members include Tati Gabrielle, Dylan Arnold, Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Scott Speedman, Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Menhl, Chris O’Shea and Christopher Sean.
