Earlier in the week, SABC 3 announced a new cooking show that media personality Moshe Ndiki would present. Ready Steady Cook, produced by Rose and Oaks, premieres on SABC 3 on 18 March at 19:00.

On Thursday night, News24 was invited to an exclusive taping of the show for one of their episodes at Primedia Studios. As someone who experienced being in an audience for the first time and witnessing the work that goes into it, I have a newfound respect for those sitting on those chairs. 

While you sit on your couch at home and marvel at the beautiful piece of television, please spare a thought for everyone involved; what a lot of work it is to put together an episode, and we were told they shoot four episodes in a day.  It's understandable why there are so many episodes because the show will air 260 episodes starting from the 18th and airing on weekdays.
