  • 'Big Brother Mzansi' Season 3 runner-up Themba Broly's reality show, 'Themba: My Inked Life - A Redemption Song'is returning for a second season.
  • This season, viewers can look forward to Broly attempting to mend fences with his former girlfriend and mother of his youngest child and reviving his dream of going into business and getting his music career off the ground.
  • There are also several other offerings coming to screens that viewers can look forward to, including 'I'm With Your Ex' and 'The Equalizer'.

Big Brother Mzansi season 3 runner-up Themba Broly is again letting the public in on his life as he navigates and unravels the complexities of his life in the second season of his Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) reality show, Themba: My Inked Life - A Redemption Song.

The show returns on Thursday, 9 May at 20:00.

"For Themba, the season of the show is all about redemption.

"He is looking to become a better person and presenter parent, to finally fulfil his career goals, to make things right with family, and to reconnect with those he considers his real friends," a statement reads.

"Many things have unfolded in Themba's life since the cameras went off on season 1.

"While some events took place on camera, like Themba standing Mpho [wa Badimo] up and not pitching up at what was supposed to be their first cover shoot - one can safely assume that the relationship was going nowhere fast - to him constantly being late for all his meetings."

However, this season, "a lot" has reportedly changed, with Broly being the first to admit a lot of fixing had to be done.

"And first on the list is Big Brother Mzansi S3 winner and former girlfriend [and baby mama] Mpho wa Badimo.

"He had a lot of apologising to do and making up for past transgressions that left Mpho heartbroken and being a single mother to their son.

"Will this revive their relationship, or is that door closed for good?"

In February last year, upon the show's premiere, Wa Badimo defended their relationship, saying: "Relationships are never easy for anybody, but just relax, guys. If he's passing by, let him pass by."

She added it would not be the end of the world and she would not be stressed by forcing a man to love or stay with her.

"My existence does not rely on my relationship with Themba. I am Mpho wa Badimo, with or without Themba Broly, so I'm not desperate."

However, before the end of March, the mother of two said she was single and would move out of her apartment for "personal reasons" and to be closer to her family home in Daveyton.

Months earlier, in December, the pair sparked rumours they tied the knot in a traditional ceremony.

Aside from seeing Broly mend fences with Wa Badimo, this season would also see him revive his dream of going into business and getting his music career off the ground.

"Hopefully, he has learned some valuable lessons and is well on his way to making better choices when it comes to friends and possible business partners," the statement reads.
