- Sthembiso, better known as SK, Khoza is grateful to Connie Ferguson and her late husband Shona for sticking by him as he bowed out of his onscreen character as Shaka Khoza on the couple's Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) telenovela The Queen.
- Khoza was previously fired from the production but continued to make on-and-off-again appearances on the show, including its final episode.

Award-winning actor Sthembiso, better known as SK, Khoza has thanked Connie Ferguson and her late husband Shona for sticking by him when others reportedly turned on him as he bowed out of his character as Shaka Khoza on the couple's Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen.
The Queen came to an end when the final episode of its seventh season aired last week. M-Net local entertainment channels, in March 2022, said the telenovela would end as it revised its channel strategies to keep up-to-date with changing audience preferences and the evolving competitor landscape.
Khoza said:
In November 2021, M-Net's Nomsa Philiso said Ferguson Films had informed them that Khoza would no longer form part of the telenovela's cast. However, he continued making on-and-off appearances on the show, including its final episode last Friday.
In the same post, Khoza thanked The Queen director Andries van der Merwe for allowing him to do "whatever I wanted to do with the Shaka character" and giving him the space to "be as creative and dangerous as I wanted to make him".
"It's an honour to have worked with you, not forgetting the work that's still coming on @netflixsa 27 January @kings_of_joburg season two," he continued. "Until we meet again, I TAKE A BOW AND RAISE A GLASS."
Khoza formed part of the eight-part Ferguson Films' Netflix original series. He featured as a member of the Kings of Jo'burg crew, alongside his brother and former The Wife actor Abdul Khoza, in season 1.

Another The Queen actor who bowed out from her character as Londiwe Jama was Sthandile Nkosi.The rising star made her debut on the show in July.
Taking to social media, she said she had "nothing but love" for her character, adding that playing her had been "a rollercoaster ride".

Nkosi said playing Londiwe forced her to commit and stay true to the cause. She thanked the character for "teaching about how to be a Queen and fight for your throne".
She thanked the Ferguson's eldest daughter Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson for allowing her to portray the "feisty and beautifully layered character" and Connie Ferguson for her leadership and grace.
Nkosi said:
To The Queen viewers and South Africa at large, she said she appreciated the love she received in the streets and on social media. Nkosi also thanked the Ferguson Films crew and Mzansi Magic for their support, vision and dedication to their work.
"You guys are treasures in my heart. You've made me scared for my life and have given me the thrill to dig deeper in order to perfect Londiwe, a beautiful, multilayered, multilingual young queen who is fearless," she continued in the lengthy caption. "I have thoroughly enjoyed playing her. Thank you so much for allowing me into your homes every weekday at 21:00 to either stress you out or take away your stress."
