Nomsa Philiso, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, said in a statement: "Viewers will be thrilled to know that Rockville has been commissioned for yet another season with a storyline that will explore business opportunities in this crime thriller that is set to light up prime time TV viewing."

Season 5 will premiere from 4 April at 20:00 on DStv 161.

The last four seasons centred on JB (Shona Ferguson), a high-flying underworld figure involved in a ring of prostitution at his top-class cigar lounge in Rockville in Sandton. The business dominated the underworld scene and caused a rift between JB's middle-class family and his in-laws, a working-class household.

The new season will explore how their now five-star legitimate establishment owner and his wife Lindi (Enhle-Mbali Mlotshwa) have to turn Hotel Paradiso into a money-spinner again as the aftermath of death has dried up their coffers and put many livelihoods on the line as room bookings dwindle.

Thulisile Phongolo joins the cast as Buhle, an unemployed law graduate from rural KwaZulu-Natal whose fortune stand to change after an attempted abduction thrusts her into a sophisticated criminal network run Kalashnikov, played by Siyabonga Shibe.

Other new cast members include Wizeman Zitha, Kwezi Ndlovu and Thabisile Zikhali.
