'We are excited': See the 'exceptional talents' about to breathe new life into SABC 1's Uzalo

Reality TV stars and businesswomen Slee Ndlovu and Nonhle Jali are the newest additions to SABC 1 weeknight drama, Uzalo. They join the drama as Wiseman Mncube and Nkanyiso Mchunu bow out of the show in its upcoming season.

"We've had the privilege of witnessing Wiseman Mncube and Nkanyiso Mchunu's incredible journey on Uzalo. Their commitment to their craft, their ability to breathe life into their characters, and the chemistry they brought to the screen have enriched our show in ways words can't express," series producer King David Mukwevho said.

"Saying goodbye is never easy, but we are deeply thankful for the invaluable contributions they've made to Uzalo's success. Wiseman and Nkanyiso, you will be missed, and we look forward to seeing your stars continue to rise in the entertainment world. I urge the viewers to stay tuned as their exit is set to be of epic proportions."

Earlier in the month, News24 reported Mncube would star in upcoming Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) telenovela, My Brother's Keeper. Set to replace Gomora, the new 130-episode telenovela premieres Monday, 23 October.

The show's ninth season, currently on air, promises to "end off with a monumental bang" and an "electrifying cocktail of drama, suspense and unbridled action" as Ndlovu and Jali join the cast.

However, they are not the only new additions to the show. Viewers can also look forward to seeing Vuyo Dabula and Ntokozo Vilakazi.

MORE ABOUT THE CHARACTERS:

Vuyo Dabula (Bentley Majozi): A character who will keep viewers on the edge of their seats and promises nothing short of drama and suspense.

Nonhle Jali (Thandiwe): A businesswoman with ambitious goals and a penchant for danger. Her character will captivate viewers with her unapologetic determination and promises riveting twists and turns. Her character finds a perfect business soulmate in Ndlovu's character.

Slee Ndlovu (Xoliswa): A ruthless businesswoman who stops at nothing to maintain her dominance in the cutthroat world of business. Her character will challenge and surprise audiences in unexpected ways.

Ntokozo Vilakazi (Mabillion): A character that adds another layer of intrigue as he grapples with grief, vengeance and a puzzled mind.
