When it comes to preparing festive dishes over Christmas, you’ll find a range of kitchen personalities come to life. From the Christmas traditionalist or to the Christmas experimentalist and the quicky Christmas chef who is always looking for that new surprising combination.

Woolworths has joined forces once again with TV and radio presenter Anele Mdoda to treat us to their festive new cooking show – A Woolies Christmas Cook-Off. The show will air up until Christmas and see Anele joined by foodies to give us a taste of Woolworths Food’s exciting new festive range - with a twist.

With three themed rounds we’ll also get a closer look and some serious inspiration on how to prepare for the perfect festive season entertaining.

Get experimental and bring something new to the table this festive season with a plant-based spread or get creative with your mezze platters by including wraps, salmon slices, a variety of cheeses, and more available in-store. For those look to spend less time in the kitchen this year and opt for a more casual spread pre-prepared salads, pre-sliced gammon, and ready-made made malva pudding and delicious decedent cakes are going to be your new best friends this year, all you’ll have left to do is put the bubbly on ice. For the traditionalists and purists, the Classic Feast round of the show will tickle your tastebuds with the extravagant and classic dishes prepared.

As the teams go head-to-head in this round and compete for Anele’s top pick they’ll be pulling out all the stops to cook the ultimate nostalgic Christmas feast featuring gammon, stuffed chicken, lamb shank, trifle, and more - all available at Woolies.

So tune in for some delicious inspiration and find your perfect theme for this year’s festive season entertaining.
