  • The online dating world can expose you to the weirdest situations, and it can be ruthless.
  • A woman on Reddit explains that she ghosted a man that she went on one date with.
  • She later found out that her date got her banned from two dating apps.

A woman was left shocked after she "ghosted" a man she went on a date with and was subsequently banned on two dating apps after he reported her.

Sharing her story on Reddit, she explained that her gut instinct told her that there was something wrong.

"I met a guy from a dating app a few weeks ago. We went on one date. Dinner was fine, but my gut told me something was off, so I 'ghosted' him."

"Now, I know that's a super wrong thing to do in general. But this guy kept messaging me. And messaging me. And messaging me. So I didn't feel bad for ghosting him and then blocking him on social media. It just confirmed my gut instinct," she continued.

"I had also sent him a few pics before we met up, and his final message was an attachment of all my pics with 'thanks for the nudes, I guess!' which felt more like a threatening 'I have your pics. I can do with them what I want now.' Not cool, but this is exactly why I never send anything with my face or anything full nude.”

The woman also claimed that after ignoring his numerous texts, she returned to the dating app where she met the man and realised she'd been "permanently banned" - and that her date reported her account and had it removed.

"I went to log in to 2 of my dating apps this weekend, and both opened with a 'you have been removed and permanently banned from this app'.

"One of the apps I hadn't even matched with anyone since my last boyfriend 5 months ago," she wrote.

She added that she is sick of the "nice guys" who think they are owed something after one date and then get hurt when it doesn't work out.

"And honestly, this is exactly WHY I end up ghosting some people."
