Getting along with your mother-in-law is important, especially as a newlywed. Nicola Peltz Beckham had to pour cold water on rumours that she doesn't get along with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham. It all started when she married the eldest Beckham son, Brooklyn, earlier this year. The model and actress, 27, previously confirmed she had seen stories of a rift, which she said all started when she didn't wear her mother-in-law's wedding dress design.

In an interview with The Times newspaper, Nicola denied there was a "feud".

"It's not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud'. "I don't know why they say feud. I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they're labelling it 'feud'?" She added: "No family is perfect."

Explaining her previous comments to dispel the false rumours, she said, "But the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it, and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn's mom got to make that for me! And I was really excited to wear it! And I didn't end up wearing it."

Nicola opted for a dreamy wedding gown designed by Valentino.

She said after some chats about the dress on a "text chain", Victoria called her mother and said she couldn't make the dress because her "atelier couldn't make the dress in time".
