When our loved ones call us out publicly, it may seem harsh, but this isn't the absence of love. Sometimes, those we love need to be reprimanded to become better people in society, and this will not always happen in the 'nicest' way, writes Bonolo Sekudu.

It is still unthinkable how Dr Matthew Bongani Lani could fool people and let on like he was a qualified medical doctor for as long as he did. 

For over a year, his TikTok content was dedicated to him offering medical advice, and he even started selling diet pills that were supposedly shipped abroad. You didn't need to follow him to know who he was because he would advise on any disease, illness, remedies, you name it—mainly trending subjects, from teeth whitening to menopause.
