Deciding to get a divorce is one of the most critical decisions one could ever make. A divorce not only changes your life but also affects children, families and even friendships. There is a lot of disruption that comes with making this final decision; hence, it should never be made in haste.

Marriage therapist Lehlohonolo Mazindo says varying reasons lead people to go their separate ways; however, not all of them are necessarily informed and right at the time. 

Lehlohonolo says, "As a relationship therapist, I have dealt with many cases of people who regret divorcing too soon based on their emotions. When you feel like divorcing, wait until you feel differently and decide if you still want to divorce."
