  • A woman turned to Reddit to tell her story, revealing that her co-worker Ken had seen her kissing another woman in a pub and concluded she was cheating on her boyfriend, Louie, right away.
  • However, after snapping photos of the kiss and sharing them with their co-workers, Ken was left mortified.
  • That's because the woman revealed the truth - that she is in a polyamorous relationship with Ruby, who is as much her partner as Louie is.

A polyamorous woman shared her story of a time she was mistaken for a cheater on RedditShe's been in a poly relationship with Ruby for 11 years, and Louie for 10 years.

The three date each other and are 'closed off' to dating anyone outside their current relationship.

“I never mentioned this to my co-workers because I never cared to; I don't tend to talk about my life while at work,” the woman shared.

A few weeks ago, the woman's co-worker, Ken, who was aware she has a boyfriend, saw her making out with Ruby at a bar and took some pictures.

"He, apparently, started telling everyone that I was cheating on Louie and showed the pictures of Ruby and me,” says the woman.

This caused her co-workers to turn against her as they thought she was immoral for cheating on her boyfriend.

“A few days ago, I was talking to my friend in the break room about her ex and mentioned how much I hate cheaters, which prompted Ken and a few of my other co-workers to start 'calling me out' and tell me that I was a hypocrite,” she says.

“When I said that I never cheated, Ken 'confronted' me with the pictures of Ruby and me at the bar and a picture of Louie and me on a date from last week. Ken kept asking, 'So who are you dating?' while shoving his phone in my face, so I just brushed his arm aside and told him, ‘both of them.’”

The woman says she wasn't trying to be rude; instead she found it funny how upset everyone was getting over her relationship that they had no idea about.

"I took that time to explain my relationship and showed pictures of all three of us, including ones of Ruby and Louie kissing, and I joked about him taking pictures ‘like a stalker.’”

However a bunch of her co-workers are still angry that she "hid" her polyamory from them and are now saying that it's her fault that they now look like jerks for talking bad about her behind her back.

Do you think Ken did the right thing by trying to expose the woman's cheating? Should she have been upfront with her co-workers about her lifestyle earlier? Tell us your thoughts here.
