When someone you love goes through a defining moment in life, the natural instinct is to support them. However, in some situations, it is not always easy to figure out what that looks like. Grace* knows this too well.

Her friend, who now goes by the name Hilary*, is in the middle of a transition to become a trans woman. The process has come with many challenges for herself and for Hilary.

The two friends met a few years ago and their friendship grew into a strong bond. Then, Grace met a gay man, now Hilary, and they shared the same passions and hobbies, and were able to be vulnerable with one another without any fear of judgement. They very quickly became very close friends and confidants.
