We first met Pauline Moeketsi and Siyabonga Tembe in January 2022 when Siyabonga proposed to her on her 31st birthday.
Their love story melts the heart. Two people were looking for true love and found it on dating app, Bumble, during the hard lockdown in 2020.
Although dating apps have dampened the hopes of many looking for love, this story will surely change your mind if you ever doubted the usefulness of dating apps.

The lesson we have learnt here is that when love is what you have been yearning for, when it comes around you guard it with your heart and make it as dreamy as it can ever be.
Like when Siyabonga booked a private cinema in Johannesburg not to only watch a movie with his then-girlfriend, but he created an unforgettable love scene when his proposal played out on one of the monitors in the corridors.
Pauline left teary-eyed and with a smile on her face. She was visibly speechless but managed to say the only word Siyabonga needed to hear: "yes" after he got on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage.

Over a year into dating, they got engaged and then four months later, lobola negotiations happened, and now they are planning their white wedding.
At the time, Pauline shared with us that she had set an intention of meeting her husband in 2020, and when it happened, it was surreal.

They were an instant match from day one, and once they fell in love, there was no turning back.
Four months into the proposal, Siyabonga kept his promise. He recently sent his uncles all the way from KwaZulu-Natal to pay lobola for his Tswana bride.
"It feels so surreal that things are happening. I remember just crying and looking at both families together under one roof on our lobola day. It's so magical," Pauline says.
The couple tells W24 that their white wedding preparations are coming along smoothly. And soon enough, we will get a peek into their wedding. "The celebrations are only just beginning," Pauline adds.

Siyabonga says he is happy and optimistic, "I can't wait for the day."
Both their families got to meet and celebrate this union when lobola negotiations took place in May.

The two, who have always been in sync since the first day they met, went for an African fabric for their traditional attire, chosen by Siyabonga, and of course, Pauline loved it.
"I wanted something with a sleek and elegant feel," she shares the inspiration behind her boob tube mermaid dress.
Pauline says women looking for love should not forget to focus and pour into themselves. "Once you are in a good space emotionally and psychologically you will attract the man that is destined to be your forever . He will come, he exists. Pray for him even before he comes," she says.
When the time is right, not even a pandemic can stop love and a happily ever after from making a grand entrance into your life.
