Catching glimpses from the outside - from the bespoke couture gowns, celebrity guestlists to chartered private jets, these weddings are usually undoubtedly meant to impress.
Here, we look at 10 extravagant celebrity weddings we wish we had been invited to:
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Kicking off the celebrations, was a rehearsal dinner held in the Palace of Versailles in Paris, complete with a performance by Lana Del Rey.
The following day, guests were flown by private jet to Florence to watch the couple tie the knot where a custom-made flower wall served as the backdrop at a 16th-century fortress.
Kim walked down the aisle in a Givenchy wedding gown by Riccardo Tisci, while being serenaded by Andrea Bocelli.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
The couple exchanged "I do's" at Villa Pizzo in Lake Como.
The anointed 'Mayor of Twitter' went all out and had three Vera Wang dresses ready for the day – the final number was a studded red gown that she wore for her and John's first dance.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt
We'll always have a special place in our hearts for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who got married in 2000, only to break our hearts five years later when they split.
The celebrations were estimated to have cost around US $1 million (about R14 million), which included 50 000 flowers to achieve the Zen garden ambience they envisioned.

At the Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Venice in 2014, Hollywood's eternal bachelor George Clooney, finally said "I do".
Amal stunned in a custom Oscar de la Renta French lace gown, with a bardot neckline, while George rocked a Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Elizabeth Taylor and Larry Fortensky
Elizabeth Taylor's eighth and final marriage was to construction worker Larry Fortensky, and the wedding ceremony took place on Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch.
The bride donned a pale yellow, lace Valentino gown for the ceremony attended by some prominent names, including Liza Minnelli, Dianne Von Furstenburg, and Brooke Shields. Elizabeth sold the wedding photos to People Magazine for the US $1 million (about R14 million) and used the money to start the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Rose Leslie and Kit Harrington
Rose Leslie and Kit Harrington had the most elegant wedding in Scotland, which their 'Game of Thrones' co-stars attended. The reception was held in Wardhill Castle's grounds, which is part of the Leslie's family 900-year legacy.

Victoria and David Beckham
David and Victoria Beckham - also affectionately known as Posh and Becks - tied the knot at Luttrellstown Castle on Dublin's outskirts. The Robinhood-themed wedding was complete with burgundy, dark green, and purple accents.
Founder of her own namesake fashion label, Victoria, wore a Vera Wang gown with a 20-foot train to mark the occasion.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
When Beyoncé and Jay-Z exchanged vows at the groom's Tribeca penthouse, only 40 of their closest family and friends scored invites.
The multi award-winning artist had her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, design her wedding gown. But despite it being a quiet affair, the bride had a touch of extravagance, having 70 000 of her favourite flowers - white dendrobium orchids - flown in from Thailand.
Sir Elton John and David Furnish
Sir Elton John and David Furnish tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in 2014, which included guests like the Beckham family, Donatella Versace, and Claudia Schiffer.
They saved on the venue and partied all night at the couple's Windsor mansion, but when it came to the food and drinks, they splashed out a staggering US $130 000 (approximately R1.9 million) on pink champagne and caviar.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra nuptials' were a 3-day event, demonstrating a perfect fusion of their religions with Hindu and Christian ceremonies.
The Bollywood star and boy band heartthrob's wedding was held in the dream-like Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Priyanka’s dresses included a mix of Indian and Western designers – one was a Red lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and the other was a custom gown by Ralph Lauren.
